i haven't been to new orleans during mardi gras
it sort of turns me off
jazz fest
is about as rowdy as i like to get
however
take a storied town
combined with
permission to indulge
and you are
talking my language
today
my indulgences will be
beignets
chicken and sausage gumbo
and
pralines
wishing you good times today
and
for those of you whom
share the
traditions and faith
this season brings
a mindful
lent

ReplyDeleteMy last beignets was at cafe Du Monde in the french Quarter right before Katrina....love my beignets.
